Self hypnosis and Tourette's.

Can anyone here state definitively whether or not they have experience of hypnosis/self hypnosis being helpful in reducing tics in adults with Tourette's syndrome? Apparently seems to work quite well with kids and adolescents but it's less clear concerning adults. I don't have Tourette's just curious.

Hello there,

My friend Alex has Tourette's syndrome and he went for it... I don't know what you consider to be a tic reduction since he still has them, they are just random sounds instead of swearing... sounds like he is practicing Karate chops or something.

I do think they are getting less often with time, but I think he still has a long way to go unfortunately.
