To members of UCF, I appreciate the years we have spent together on this forum. It has been a great place to discuss so many issues. That said, all good things must come to an end and it is time for me to move on.

I thought about acknowledging individual members that have made an impact on my life, but did not wish to accidentally leave someone out. Besides, you know who you are.

If you ever need anything or just wish to stay in touch, you can email [email protected] or just type my name into a search engine. I’m not hard to find.

I AM serious, and no, the forum WON'T be open forever. We're lucky it's run so long, but all good things come to an end.

From the site owners:

we are going through a spring cleaning process at Uncommon Knowledge and have been having conversations about closing down UncommonForum. The site is a shadow of what it once was and is somewhat outdated, given that it was created when Facebook was less than a twinkle in Zuckerberg's eye.

As we see it, there are a couple of ways we could go here. One would be to give everyone plenty of warning about the impending closure so that they could find other places to get support and then close the forum down completely. The other would be to hand the forum over to someone else to run, which would be a lot more complex and would involve de-branding the site completely, including changing the name and domain. Whoever took it on would need to be comfortable with the financial and technical responsibilities that come with running such a site.

No, it isn't. It's because so few people are posting.

It costs money to host a forum. I'm sure you will have forgotten, but people who DON'T join the forum see a lot of ads for Uncommon Knowledge products. If the forum isn't paying its way, it's just a cash leak. And as you probably know, very few of us have as much spending power as we did two years ago.

Yes inflation is a problem everyday nowadays but here its disatrous. I really can help with finances. If needed i can post more too though my posts arent so helpful to people.

From site owners today:

I am afraid that we will be closing things down earlier than September but I hope that the notice will enable you all to find somewhere else to meet. I can say that the forum will not close before March 30th.

I am sorry for any distress this causes and I hope you will be able to find something to take the forum's place.

I'd asked for the forum to remain open at least until September because those of us on The Black Pill thread had agreed to reconvene then. Oh well.
