O YOU THINK MY TEACHER SHOULD HAVE LET ME OFF DETENTION BECAUSE OF THE EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCIES ?( I have just got home from serving a 4 hour Saturday detention, it was HORRIBLE we had to wear FULL school uniform , sit at our desks in TOTAL silence and write a punishment essay.MY CRIME I go to a school that has a strict detention policy that says any student getting 3 detentions in a term will automatically go into a 4 hour Saturday detention, I have already had 2 detentions this term, I was messing around in my maths lesson my teacher said that unless I behaved I would be punished with a detention, she warned me 3 times but I took no notice, she then said 1 and a half hours detention Friday after school, it was only as the lesson finished that I remembed
about the 3 detention policy, I ran up to my teacher and said how sorry I was and would she please please and PRETTY PLEASE let me off otherwise I would get a 4 hour sat detention, she refused saying I had 3 warnings to behave but choose to ignore her and DESERVED the after school detention, and that the Saturday detention was nothing to do with her, and was an additional punishment for getting 3 detentions in a term, when I protested to my mum she said the teacher is right and getting 3 detentions in a term is NOT acceptable and therefore I DESERVE to be punished with a 4 hour Saturday detention, ADVICE PLEASE ?
