Angry all the time

Postby AliseOX » Fri Nov 11, 2016 5:10 pm

I have been researching how to not feel this anger all the time and even went to doctor. I feel slight anger all the time and sometimes it escalates to a big anger. How do I cope whit this. I don't want doctors to put me on some strong drugs. :(

So what actually angers you? Ive read some posts here of people beating women with fists because they accidently knocked their food off. If you are at this level then you should get help else where :D Hope not

Marais,

this is a serious Forum and we are trying to help people here. You need to either get on board or get out. Find somewhere else to show off your predatory, insulting and aggressive 'sense of humor'.

Actually you are gossiping here.

I don't think it will help anybody here.

Dear Alise the Ox

Well, it’s good that you have been researching Anger Management. In most cases you Would Not Need Medications. Medications are reserved for those with Very Obvious Neuro-chemical Imbalances – People Who Act Really Crazy – exhibiting Extreme Behavior without any apparent objective Reason.
But most People with Anger Issues are simply Angry A Lot – Anger Occupies their Minds when they would rather be thinking of Better Things. Most Angry People are able to Maintain Control ‘Most of the Time’ but they ‘Explode’ just enough… even just a few time a year… so that they are ‘labeled’ by their Peers and Authorities as ‘troublesome’… and it is bad for their Careers… or if still Students… it is bad for their success in pursuing Academia.

I think you fall into the latter group… just enough Anger to be a Problem, but not enough Anger that you would need to be medicated or locked up (sort of the same thing in many cases, although I have heard of some patients who respond to Tiny Amounts of a Medication and come out of it Thinking and Acting Perfectly Normally… so we shouldn’t Dismiss or Disparage ‘Meds’ … sometimes those things Bring Absolute Miracles into People’s Lives!

Anyway, THIS Forum is a GOOD PLACE for you to start. First, read the Posts. There are some Good Helpers here. Read the posts of ‘Richard’ – he is short and succinct most of the time, but his opinions are most in line with the Real Professionals… he claims he is not a Medical-Psychological Professional, but I don’t believe it. ‘Julius’ is our optimist… read his longer posts, as his shorter posts are not much better than bumper stickers. Bert N Ernie has the most Heart and Anger Management Instinct of all of us put together, and he has a very endearing humility (God, preserve that sweet sweet man from Pride). Then there are my Posts. I am an intellectual, well studied, and especially well read in anger management, and I have successfully ‘Managed Down’ my own base level of Anger. If I get a few percentage points less angry than I am Now, they will have to nominate me for Sainthood. But my posts are sometimes long. But, anyway, read ‘Our’ Posts… and acquaint yourself with the other regulars. You will begin to get a feel for the Anger Management ‘Culture’ and the Way that Anger Issue People Think and See things.

And read the Books. Go to some Big OnLine Book Retailer and read the Reviews on Anger Management Books and buy the ones you think might appeal to you. By Reading Anger Management Books Every Day, it keeps your HEAD IN THE GAME, so to speak. It is hard to be taken by surprise and totally flip out over some common ‘Trigger Event’ if you had just read about the Same Possibility just several hours before.
Please, Let me know what you think.

Well, Alise, you need to remember the context here... that I am obviously attracted to the Anger Management Forum, among all the worthy Forums here at Uncommon Knowledge, and it would be easy to guess that I was once, or still am, dealing with my own Anger Issues.

For the longest time I found it Very Useful to familiarize myself with the Entire Existent Literature regarding Anger Management, but then the Authors and the Publishers caught on and began writing and publishing more books then I could handily keep up with... or afford to buy.

and then I thought that Writing about Anger Management would be nearly as helpful as Reading About it, and the novelty would come from the various different problems that People would confront me with.

So I am actually sort of doing this for ME, but of course I am glad when I am able to help. Also, I get to see if Solutions that had worked out for me are 'universally applicable' to everybody... or most everybody. So, yes, I find it all very interesting.

Also, I had been a Clerk when I was in the Army, and so I have a pretty fast Typing Speed (Words Per Minute.... oh and when I was in the Army, there were still Type Writers.... long people may wonder what such things are...) and so when something appears LONG... well, it may seem LONG to you, but it only takes me minutes to knock out a Post like this...

But after reading so many books and knowing so much information you still can not get out of your anger issues? That is pretty scary.

Can you formulate a clear answer on that question?
