Hey.. we're sorry to see you didn't have a positive experience with our service. It's understandable that someone saying "oh that sounds stressful" was immensely frustrating to you - you already know things are stressful, and don't need someone telling you that!

Our service's purpose is to actively listen and get you to a safe place. Like the poster above said, a stranger can't solve what's going on in your life, but they can listen, validate, and support. That's what the Crisis Counselor you texted with was trying to say when they said, "oh that sounds stressful" - they wanted you to know that it's okay to not feel okay, and that you're not wrong to be overwhelmed by everything that's going on.

I hope this makes sense; we do care and want to support you.

Your life is in no way shape or form f***ed up, other than in your own mind. You are a 21 year old adult living with parents that support you and they want you to get a job. Wow, how horrible!!!! A job? Really? That is so awful of your parents to expect that of their 21 year old adult.

When all you get is "oh grow up"...what should that tell you? If all you get is "do this, do this, do this" from multiple sources might it be a good idea to listen?

Maybe you don't know how to grow up, but the advice is solid. Getting a job is a step in growing up.
