Critical factor and internal dialog.

Can self hypnosis be effective with just the inner voice. Can I bypass my critical factor without subduing my inner voice? Or are they linked?

Have you ever had to get up much earlier than you usually do to take a test or something? You're awake, but it's so easy to just stare at the paper without a single thought in your head. Have you experienced that?

It's a bit like that, from what I understand. Not that you're deliberately trying to shut down your inner voice. Just that your inner voice falls asleep on its own. That's why often self-hypnosis involves a written script, a recording, or a familiar routine, because you're usually not in the mental state to figure out what happens next.

Is there more known about the inner voice and who are having it?

Does everyone have an inner voice and what reason is there for the unconsiouss to communicate with an inner voice to someone?

You can read about it here.

Almost everybody has it most of the time they're awake, but it stops sometimes, like during meditation, hypnosis, and fatigue.
