bullying people before you start to hypnotize them?

Postby Hypnoboy » Fri Dec 22, 2017 10:05 pm

I have a few questions about the following subject.

Is aggression a good tool to induce hypnosis?

I know a few people who repeatedly state that they are hypnotic but meanwhile (!) they act like bullies and talk aggressive.

Often when I notice their subliminal expressions in the face or speech I see the same hash emotions in them, when I just meet them on the street or in a bar.

Does this approach work better ?
What kind of hypnosis or nlp does it support?
is it maybe cult related hypnosis?

Being assertive as a hypnotist can help if the other person responds well to that. At the very least, confidence is extremely valuable.

I think pretty much nobody responds well to bullying, or at least it will sour their relationship with the hypnotist. Personally I wouldn't chance it, plus it's not my style at all. I'm guessing that these wannabe hypnotists you know simply picked up a good idea (confidence/assertiveness) and then went too far with it... or they simply aren't aware of what they are doing. Or they are simply bullies who happen to do hypnosis... probably not a very rare combination.

Fear *might* be able to be used, (and even then, I'm thinking of the brief fear of some shock inductions, not a deeper, protracted fear) but remember that some people are going to get mad instead, and anger at the hypnotist is definitely counterproductive. Trust is the best thing you can have, and the most aggressive actions you'll get that from will be gently paternal, not bullying.

agression should not be used during hypnotherapy. it will take away from what is to be accomplished.
