I think it was the mid 1970s when the jogging craze kicked in. People buying a tracksuit and hitting the road. These days I see the odd jogger but not many. I already ride a bike to get some cardiovascular exercise but thought maybe I could run again.
Good thing about jogging is it boosts dopamine which itself aids sleep. It should also increase energy and speed the metabolism.
Secret is not to go overboard. You can do too much.
This was touched upon in the Forest Gump movie where Forest found he liked to run. Good thing about it is it can be quick too. No need to travel back and forth to a gym.
