How is the weather in your part of the world?

Postby Cooler » Thu Dec 02, 2010 1:49 pm

Folks,

Are you stuck in the big freeze or tanning in the sun?

I'm getting a bit stir crazy here in South West England, as motorcycling is my passion and I just can't get out on the bikes, even with the thermal underwear, LOL. If it gets to +5 degrees I'm on the road again. :D

How is it where you are?

Alex.

Yes, didn't you know palms are native to the UK's South coast? :)

Overcast but warm here in the top end of Australia. We had a powerful thunderstorm overnight and the frogs are making whoopee in puddles everywhere.

If today is anything like the past few, the sun will be here by midmorning and we'll be steamed alive.

Oh, and I have quite the sunburn from Wednesday. The day started off fine and I decided it was a good time to say goodbye to the beach. I slathered myself with sunscreen before I set off but I was out in it for a few hours, mostly cycling to and fro.

Didn't dare do more than dip my toes as this is box jellyfish season. Chironex fleckeri can kill and a brush from one of its tentacles is like an electric shock.

Good time of year to head for Old Blighty.

Like Narnia here (North of England). Half expect to see a sled with a witch or a lion called Aslan when I go out!

Candid, I didn't really want to hear that :D

Its like being in a freezer today in Nottinghamshire. It was -14 here last night and apparently the north of Newark it was -18.
My hubby had to defrost the inside of his his Volvo.(Ice on the inside)
I thought they are suppose to be built like tanks and unfreezable

Jack1922, I think its amazing that at your age you can be so internet user friendly. So many matured people are scared to try even using a computer.
 Have you got first editions
Will you be selling them on Floggit?

Don't do that, lovey, I moved back to England this week. I'm told this is 'mild' compared to what you've had, and that there's more chill to come.

On the plus side, I started work yesterday (still jetlagged from arriving Wednesday) ... and after nearly two years unemployed, I'm not complaining!

Congratulations! :D I know what it's like not to be working, as I was last employed (exactly) five years ago ...

It's grey and gloomy. I would love it to snow if even for a little while, I love the pureness of the scenery, always make me really happy seeing snowfall.
