I am retaking a three week test prep course because I forgot to push one button. One button. It was a grading tab. I am supposed to check that tab regularly after turning things in to make sure the teacher got it. I need to remain perky about this. It is way too easy to wallow in self pity about a mistake like that. Has anyone out there had an issue like that where online school ends up being waaaay harder than regular traditional school with physical buildings, teachers that are real with real faces and voices, and real students who you can see and hear? I thought the biggest problem with online school is lack of connectivity. Actually that is true. Computers can break, students can get confused, mistakes happen. Some teachers are forgiving, some are not. Any encouragement would be greatly appreciated. I am not going to give up on technology, computers and the internet. My career as a teacher depends on it. I should stay suspicious though, so that when weird stuff happens, I can maintain some cheerfulness and enthusiasm.
