Seeing Yellow

Hi everyone!

Just want to say that i think this is such a great site for anyone who needs to know more about mental illness. Im posting this message really as a plea for help. I am not a sufferer of depression, however, I do have friends who are sufferers. I am trying to find out more about depression as a whole because I am a film maker and am making a documentary about depression. I want the film to be a positive one for suffereres of depression, their friends and families. the documentary is called 'Seeing Yellow' and discusses one sufferer's turn aound to overcoming depression. I want to say that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I want to show positivity.

Basically, i'm aiming to script the voice over and am currently in research stage although production is looming near! If there is anyone out there who would be willing to reply to me with their stories of their own personal journey through depression. How it made you feel, how your turnabout came. Or perhaps you don't see any light at the end of the tunnel yet and just would like to get some of your thoughts and feelings off your chest, I would very much appreciate any personal stories you could tell me. However trivial they seem, they won't be. I'm trying to say that depression suffereres are normal people who go through a normal day but just see it differently to others sometimes.

I'm sure you can appreciate how difficult it is for me to get people to discuss this sensitive issue with me, this is why I feel this website may be a valuable tool for me and everyone who uses it already.

Thanks for reading this and I wish everyone luck with everything they do
