I show signs of having an eating disorder because I lied about my weight to my parents... My mom, upon finding out that I was not the weight she thought I was (which was 117), became extremely angry and wants me to gain 7 lbs (and 3 by next week).
Angry? She's
angry with you?
If I'd had a mother who wanted me to gain or lose weight, I probably would have lied to her too. Who needs the hassle?
I understand why she is upset,
Can you explain it to me?
I think you show a normal 17-year-old's preoccupation with body and physical fitness. I've never run half a mile, much less eight.
If you yourself think you're not eating enough (and 1400 calories a day doesn't sound like much for a growing woman) then you know what to do. If you're feeling great at the new weight, I say stay with it. It's your body, not Mom's.
