Is Madonna Refusing To Accept Age?

Madonna continues to show her latest fishnets and boots in public places and, sure, credit where credit's due, she's still fit and in great shape. Even so, she's now well in her sixties. Even if you do look good in older age, it's kind of awkward to be seen acting like a twenty year old. If, for example, Madonna were to be seen semi naked in her dance leotard working out, that to me is O.K. It's saying you can age and still be in great shape. However, to go around in pvc boots and skimpy tops aged 60 odd seems to me a bit tacky. Like it or not, we can't stay young forever. Naturally as we age, we lose hair, lose some libido, put more fat on and suffer joint pains. At such a time, we are better prepared to make use of the wisdom of years.
In some ways it seems Madonna has gotten more outrageous lately than 15 years ago. It's a reluctance to accept the basic fact numbers still register with people.
I have learned to be very careful over age. The number of times people asked me to, "guess how old I am." In one case I tried to change the topic but sometimes they insist. In one case I made a serious guess, but as soon as the word " "fifty----" left my lips, the individual had stormed off. Apparently he was still in his thirties.

If you want to pigeon hole age with acceptable behaviour then your opinion fits. One of the facets of ageism is thinking you can't do that at that age... why not if you can? Yes, if my mum dressed like Madonna at 82 I'd cringe and suspect organic brain disease, but she's not Madonna. Madonna has looked after herself, has an ego the size of a house, so she will do as she pleases... nobody is making you look David. Let her be... there's a war on the horizon you know.

I figure age gives the advantage of using your mind more. Less testosterone means less sex drive and more serenity of mind. I feel kind of superior to how I was aged 30. I learned a lot as the years passed by. Now Madonna passed through a spiritual phase when she was married to Guy Richie and doing more meaningful music. Now she's trying to relive the Erotica period that she did as a sex icon. To me it doesn't square. I agree she has taken care of herself although a lot of the stars tend to overkill with implants and hormone jabs.
I understand age is tough to handle. Honestly it bothers me when I look in the mirror and my hair missing. I did buy a toupee too which I wore - although mostly as a joke. I exercise a lot but fact is I'm no longer a young person. I used to sit in bars and hear Madonna sing Lucky Star and Holiday at the very time she was charting those tracks. Prior to that, someone gave me a pic of myself on a beach in Sevilla aged about 21. I had lots of hair (but far less knowledge of life). Point in totality. Grow old with dignity. If you look good aged 60, show it with class, tact and decorum.
