Strange Circle Marks Appeared In 2 Places On Body

Hi,

I was sitting watching a dvd with my friend this morning and she had a pair of shorts on and something caught my eye and I asked what it was and she said she woke up this morning with it and didnt know where it came from, its near the top of her left leg and she also has half of the same thing on her left thumb. Does anyone know what has caused this whilst she has been asleep as she is really worried.

I have attached a few photos of it, I had a look online and other people have had the same design appear but there is no answer. A few other forums suggested a hair dryer but she has used a hair dryer since the morning before.
