Need some comfort

Postby Longduckdong » Thu Jul 15, 2021 3:23 pm

I was doing so well for almost a month then 2 weeks ago I got hit with a wave. Basically feels like I am back to month one of feeling horrible. I get headaches my eyes have trouble adjusting. I am nausea's a lot. I just am so over this. I just got a new job and can't be calling out but it has been so difficult getting through the days. I am at 5 months. I know I am ok because I have gotten blood work done and no issues at all, I just get scared cause my head feeling this way is scary. I know it's not permanent but I hate it. Weed has destroyed so much for me and I just want to function normally again for my family.

@Longduckdong
I remember having similar setbacks just when I was getting confident about my recovery....just like you about 5 months in. Working while being upset by PAWS was a real bummer. I hated it. Stay strong, you'll get more and more relief as time goes by!

I hope I can bring you comfort because I posted here on June 26th looking for comfort as well. I was at 5 months then and suffering horribly. Please look up that post- it is called “Marijuana withdrawal problems at five months.” I don’t have very many posts so you can look at the few I have to see exactly how I was feeling. I want you to know I am tremendously better now. The horrible feelings lifted and I realize they might come roaring back, but I want you to know that they did ease up and get so much better because I want you to have hope and the comfort you are seeking. I needed comfort desperately at that time. I am a few days from 6 months now. You will get better- it seems that everyone does. It just takes time. I truly hope this helps you.

Thank you a lot. These past two days are getting better. I actually got some acupuncture done and it is supposed to help with detoxification. I know it will get better because the good days help me remember. I am so thankful for everyone on this forum and love you all. I wish you all the best of luck. Please keep updated.

I am very glad to hear the last couple of days have been better for you. You are right about remembering the good days- I actually have begun marking on a calendar when I have good days so I can look at them for hope when I have rough days. Acupuncture has been wonderful when I have had it and I hope it will benefit you tremendously! I agree with you in that I am also so thankful for the people on this forum- so many of the posts saved me when I was suffering at my worst and I read them over and over even though there were times my eyes were barely working. Now I just want to help and encourage others because I was helped so much here. Keep us updated on your progress!

Been doing a bit better actually. I am starting to think my physical issues are being set on by anxiety. I am going to try and focus on being aware of my anxiety. How are you doing brother?

I’m having a tough day today. It will pass, definitely. But, I’m glad you’re doing better! At the start of this I did some research on the physical symptoms of anxiety because I was having so many weird issues and it is amazing how anxiety can show up in the body. So, you’re probably correct about the anxiety causing your physical symptoms. Keep healing! Sounds like you’re doing great! Very happy for you!

Ya man. I appreciate you dude. Keep checking in when needed. Also look into some acupuncture. Idk if it helped but since I got it I have been feeling an improvement. Might be a placebo but who knows.

This is great to see and good on you for the positive and supportive attitude. I too want to try to help as much as possible as i believe its my duty for one being a fellow paws sufferer but also that it helps me to help others. Its times like this that human beings can show care and support for complete strangers but share a familiar pain that brings them together.
How are you getting on MMJnono? I hope you're doing well buddy

I am doing far better then even a week ago. I am trying to be more thankful for my life and the people in it while also trying to exercise to hopefully release endorphins. I have had blood work and everything comes back ok. Makes me feel better knowing this is all in my head lol..I hope you are doing well. Let me know. Thanks for checking in. People like you really make this more bearable.

Hi Longduck, really pleased to hear you're doing well and feeling better. Unfortunately im having a tough time still at almost a year of sobriety but i remain hopeful that im healing still and will get better. Its definitely scary and debilitating at times but we must soldier on to better days. WE WILL HEAL, WE WILL BE HAPPY AGAIN. Take care buddy

Hi Power! I am doing much, much better and I thank you for thinking of me and asking- what a blessing to have someone ask and care! I might hit a rough patch again (I am about 6 1/2 months in) and I still do have some symptoms or PAWS, but things are moving in a positive direction, even if it is a bit slower than I would like. I am sorry to hear that you’re going through a rough patch now, but remember that it will pass. It has to pass as long as you’re not using cannabis because our bodies were created to be healing machines. And for anyone struggling who might see this- you will get better as long as you’re not putting mind-altering substances into your body. It really does take time and patience. Your will get there!
