panic

can panic attacks be caused by a deep rooted problem as from childhood
or the way you grew up.
i've suffered since 1997 with panic attacks, i used to fly abroad for holidays i can no longer go anywhere. i cant even get on a bus or walk to my local shops some days i have a car but walk everywhere and i'm 42 years old and feel so stupid.

Panic attacks can be caused by many things, one of these being traumatisation, where someone has had a highly frightening experience which has 'stuck' in their brain as it were, and can then be triggered off again in similar situations (or by the imagination) later on. This is called PTSD, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Happily, this can be dealt with usually pretty quickly by a practitioner who knows how to use detraumatisation techniques.
