The Andes Miracle

Just seen the film once more on the 1972 aircraft crash in the Andes. This was a plane loaded with a rugby team and supporters, destined for Chile. They never made it. The pilot believed he was set for descent to Santiago but clouds obscured visibility. The plane was level with the middle mountain peaks. There was an attempt to pull up but ultimately the plane impacted and split into two parts. The plane finally stopped in the peaks of the Andes. Not that much oxygen and freezing at night.
The best part of the movie showed how Nando Parrado and Roberto Canessa walked over 50 miles, across the mountains to Chile.
