Hi name1 and welcome to the forum!

"A psychiatrist once said acting was abusive to people"

Can you expand a little? Did he/she mean acting as in professional actors on TV and in film? And in what way is it abusive?

acting, like all the art forms, is about self expression. its about getting points across. its about educating people.

so maybe it can be called abusive only if your definition of abusive is "something which offends me because i hold the opposite view to the one which is being put across/i don't like being told about things in the world which aren't as 'nice' as my life"

hi

Im unsure which part the psychiatrist ment really .

I thought it was all of it .
Do you not think it can be when the person is tierd and finds it difficult to perform,The person may also grow tense as they need to be feeling a different way than they already are .

A lot of people I know say thatit can be abusive ,I do not think they were saying that it was abusive all the time .

I m sure your world is nice .
