Communication and Fears

Postby samualsertus21 » Tue Nov 05, 2019 6:51 am

Hey everyone thanks for having me here!

I am just wondering what fears you all have when communicating with people, in career or personal relationships?

Also whats the feeling when you are asked to give a public address?

What would you say your weaknesses are in communicating and speaking?

How do you think it would enhance your career or social life if you were able to speak effectively?

Would love to hear your responses.

Hi Sam! I'm a bit late to this as I am a new member, but I'll say that without a doubt learning and practicing public speaking has helped me to communicate one-on-one in both the workplace and my social life. I used to be a very nervous person when it came to any kind of communication. Too, I used to get EXTREMELY nervous when I knew I'd be giving a public presentation soon. After seven years of public speaking, I still have a little bit of nervousness, but it's mostly combated by good preparation and putting into practice the pointers I've learned.
