Phobia cure - in a pill!

Postby Simon » Mon Dec 01, 2003 1:19 pm

From the Observer

Doctors/scientists "....have discovered that a drug on the market for tuberculosis helps phobics to overcome their worst fears within a week. They believe it could be the anti-phobia pill which scientists have been searching for...."

Even with this 'magic' tablet, they still say the client/patient will need a couple of sessions of therapy to cure them! Shame they don't give any information about the good old VK 'one-stop phobia cure' Technique.

I think it is a wonderful thing when drugs designed for one thing are found to be useful for another, as happens so often, particularly in the field of psychiatric drugs.

What's nice is that, as well as helping so many more people, it increases the market for the drug without the need for any further development costs.

Isn't it lovely the way the world works like that?

Awww......
