Hi jab123,

Thanks for your post.

The most anyone can do in a situation like this is to lead a wonderful example. She is your sister, she will pick up on your positive vibe. To raise your own self esteem as much as you can can be achieved by looking yourself in the eye in a mirror and saying repeatedly things like.

"I love and approve of myself, I respect myself, I accept myself as I am, I am beautiful, I deserve to live a happy life"

I have created a healthy body weight hypnosis that is completely free on youtube

I hope this helps. Peace, love and harmony to you and your sister.

Hey There,

Dealing with someone who has a scewed view of themselve is a tough, but beatable challenge, as long as you consider a variety of challenges some of which may be even less so physical as they are psychological. I've found a guide on eating disorders that can give you a better idea of the obstacles faced. In addition to showing the support for someone that is struggling to establish a healthy outlook, you could also avoid the mistake of preaching to someone with a very strong belief, and focusing on non-verbal questions instead, possibly looking for a low cost poster printing service that can give some before/now images (larger than photos), facing which the person you care for will be not able to avoid the tough questions that need to be resolved.

Wishing you strenght and a good weekend!
