Am 34. Accept that age is a natural process we all go through.
It always has made me feel better, both about passage of time and myself, that I was a teenager (15) in a large number year like 2000/around the millennium. Some speculated world would end, which made 2000 seem large and permanent.
Always think, yes, I am going to get older, but at least I can always say I was young (15) in such a large number year like 2000.
Its probably comparable to: (1) How a former athlete feels - Oh, I set the 2000 record in 15 such and such or (2) I got to level 2000 on this video game or (3) I have 2000 friends on facebook, or (4) It took 2000 years (which is a lot) to pass from AD 0, and yet I was still only be a measly 15
Or in my case, I'll always be a teen (15) in a big numbered year like 2000. (2000/new millennium sound to me like its close to the end of the world, and here I was only 15)
Noone else seems to think like this. It works for me though. I understand most wouldn't want to think this way. I would like to know :
If someone else, that did not have OCD, wanted to learn to feel good over this also, and had the right motivation - could they ever learn to think and feel good over this? (People use affirmations and mindfulness, so could they?)
