Hi unique

I do feel better than when I made this post back in April, it’s just the anxiety that’s lingering still.

Yes the first six months for me were hell tbh. I thought I was going crazy and the suicidal thoughts were the worst. It does get easier and I have improved a bit.
If it weren’t for this forum I’d be smoking again as I didn’t know about paws and that’s why I’m trying to hang on to 2-3 yrs sober to see if I do eventually get out of this situation.

Whats your anxiety like? Do you get short of breath, hearth palpitations or tightness around your heart?

The anxiety is like constant worrying and self doubting myself. I was getting the shortness of breath and palpitations but don’t notice as much anymore

To me this sounds like (possibly) Complex PTSD. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/post-trau ... d/complex/ Vulnerability to addiction is part of the mess.

Weight gained
Gingivitis

... sounds like comfort eating and problems with personal care, also part of C-PTSD. Do you use dental floss every day? Do you struggle to take care of yourself?

Definitely have improved but still have issues with anxiety but nowhere near as bad. Was on this forum everyday but this is first time I’ve come back in months was just getting on with life.

Candid no my intake has been the same and my job is very active. I suppose it’s part of the no smoking as read gingivitis can be caused by ceasing smoking and also the weight gain.
