vitamin intake

FAO Jur or anyone else in the know

i'm taking 2 one-a-day vitamins, one is for magnesium and the other supplies the B6, B12, Vit C and Zinc, amongst others as it is a multivitamin

but can't find a supplement for B3 or chromium picolinate as recommended in the hypoglycemic diet. how important are these 2 items to the diet, and what sort of food will contain these naturally?

cheers

Vitamin B3 is called niacin. I find chromium picolinate important to take as it helps the function of insulin. Natural sources can be found at:

thank you for that. the multivitamin does include nicacin. also good to see that the chromium picolinate is present in a lot of food within the hypoglycemic diet. but if i find a supplement for chromium i'll consider it, although this will mean 3 daily vitamins for me.

I am surprised that you cannot find chromium picolinate. It is usually quite
readily available.

You should be fine with the 3 vits.

I do a shed load of vits and other supplements in a day. As long as you do
your research and know that you are not taking lethal or harmful doses I am
sure you will be fine.
