Technology and Human contact

One thing I've noticed about technology/media it is lowering people standards. Everyone is becoming even ore samey, no one seems to be able to think for themselves.

I really don't know. But I suspect that in extreem cases, there are people who have made their entire lives revolve around social networking and the internet. Which is not healthy.

Yes, it's making human contact less necessary for social interaction, but it also makes it easier to make friends, track down old friends, find people you have things in common with, etc. So there is good and bad, maybe it cancels itself out?

somehow i feel that technology gives you the freedom of being whoever you are and people accept the person whom you are on the internet or on any social networking site or any such media rather than the actual you.

yes indeed it has brought down the human touch , but technology gives you more social acceptance than the society may.
