Chronic insomnia

Postby Essex Man » Thu May 27, 2004 11:18 am

Hi,

I am 50 years old, severely disabled due to a spinal cord injury 35 years ago, and I have forgotten how to sleep naturally. Unless I take a strong sleeping pill (Nitrazepam) I just lie in bed awake unable to switch my mind off. This has been going on for most of my life but the past 18 months have been particularly bad. In desperation I've just ordered the Deep sleep programme and I'll see what happens and if it'll be of any help.

Any similar stories out there and any success stories, please?

Unfortuately I myself have not come across a situation as bad as your... Roger may have more insight here and I'll point him to your post.

I would be most interest to hear about your use of Deep Sleep product - if it helped or not, and anything specific you find.

Please keep us informed.

I, too, suffer from sleeplessness (Although not to the same severity). However, what I have found to be beneficial is meditation. Meditation teaches you how to manage and control your thoughts. It requires a great amount of effort in the beginning, but with practice, it comes with ease.

Hi Essex Man

Great that you've ordered the Deep Sleep programme. It certainly helped me with sleeping (I also found it very difficult to switch my mind off).

I'm sure you'll find the "3 Things" technique taught in the programme very useful.

Keep us posted on how you get on with it.
