Hi Seta37. Officially, copyright of forum material belongs to Uncommon Knowledge, but if you want to create the content you want to use and PM me with it, I'm sure we can work something out.

Cinammon - what happens when you try to fill out your About Me?

Hi

1st of all I wanted to thank you for all your efforts and running this wonderful website :)
And then I wanted to ask you if it's possible to change the color to happier 1s.

Thanks

"NUTRITIONAL ASPECTS OF MOOD DISORDERS" forum

seriously.

these forums will be all the worse without Jur Plesmans input.

i expect he's saved lives over the years with his philosophies and experience and he's helped many people on here including me. new members are being cheated of help that could save their lives too.

i'll happily volunteer to help moderate the forum if need be.

Thanks

search by topic is a must as the forums get bigger
a direct button to show your own posts

front page with blog, news, and all the shortcuts

also on the front page would be nice to have last 10-20-30 posts

and the forum is a lil slow on loading, not sure if its the graphics of alot of scripts or some crippled old scripts that are buggin out

ability to stay logged in at more than one PC at once.

a library maybe?

Thanks raverx3m, some good ideas there. We're slowly moving ahead with some new modifications now, so keep the ideas coming.

Please upgrade the message board. When you try to post links or emails you get errors

Please do it before the major upgrade which you plan for later

HI La7

We generally don't encourage posting of links, and definitely not of email addresses. Is the error you're seeing a forum message or a system error? If you could post the details here that would help,

Thanks

Roger

Just a wee heads up of a couple of new additions to the forum.

Related Topics
We've now got Related Topics at the end of every thread page, showing links to 5 posts from the same forum that are similar in content.

Private Message notifier
The old PM popup has been replaced by a 'layer' that appears top right when you have a new message. It disappears once all your PMs have been viewed. This should get round the popup blocker problem.

Right (dusts hands), next!

Okay- I have a strange problem that makes it impossible to post using the current reply window- I wonder if I'm the only one? I have a newer laptop that came with Microsoft Vista (which I don't like and has given me lots of problems), so I wonder if that's the culprit. So here it is, best as I can describe it...

 Here's the problem: When I type a longish post that's longer than the reply box is deep plus about three additional lines, it won't scroll down as I type. Between every key stroke, it bounces back up to what fit in the reply box at the top of the post. Therefore it's impossible to see what I'm typing as I type, as it flashes back and forth a zillion times as I type. It's bizarre- and wasn't always like that. I really don't know how to explain it better than that. I have to type my posts in Word and then cut+paste it into the reply box. The problem with this is I can't use the quick tabs, like for quoting, bolding, or emoticons - I have to type the html code. Which is tedious and annoying.

 Can we have an eating disorder forum?

 I'm one person who likes the current color scheme. I like blues- soothing and easy on the eyes. I also like the current font.

Thanks! Looking forward to the changes! 8)

The message seems to stay there permanently for me, even though I've read all my PMs :? Don't know if anyone else has noticed this.

I have that problem too on Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8. What browser are you using?

Thanks for the suggestions folks. stella_blues, you've highlighted a major omission on UncommonForum, and as briary is happy to moderate it, we're going to create a new Eating Disorders forum.

On your other point, we've seen the Reply box jump problem before and have had problems recreating it but we'll look into it again. If anyone has any ideas about what might be the problem, drop me a PM.

And finally, we've just added another wee gismo. When you receive email notification of a PM now, the text of the PM will be included in the email. So you can decide whether you want to reply or not without visiting the site

All the best

Roger

Sorry Karen, missed your question on the new PM notifier. I had the problem that the message wouldn't go away too, at first, but after deleting my old PMs is sorted itself out. If you want to keep old PMs, perhaps just viewing every page of your PM list might help?
