Nausea when eating, HELP

Postby amglockguy » Fri Oct 05, 2012 3:08 am

New to the forum looking for answers.

I am a 24 yr old male 5'8" 140 lbs in need of some advice. Since high school I have had constant nausea nearly on a daily basis. Typically with proper diet and exercise, Nexium for acid reflux, and lots of water I can maintain weight and feel pretty good.

My issue is at its worst when I am out with others, particularly women, and I feel giant spikes in my nausea. When going on dinner dates I must eat very light and slow to fight back the constant urge to go to the restroom and keep from vomiting.

That being said I never actually throw up, just feel like hell is going to come out of me. I have been to my doctor, psychiatrist, and psychologist all of which have recommended various anxiety and anti-depressants, none of which alleviate the symptoms of nausea when eating. I am a very strong, athletic, and health conscious individual that just wants to be able to eat a normal meal with friends. Any suggestions?

Hi,
You seem to have normal weight for your height.

The symptoms you have appear to be related to your autonomic nervous system. You may be suffering from hypoglycemia.

It can be treated by going on a Hypoglycemic Diet.

Discuss with your doctor or counsellor.

As you said particularly women, I am thinking if it's not that you are around women, you are the one shy guy, very nervous and with the nervousness of course comes the nausea. What are your relationships with women like? Are you single?
If it's due to nervousness I can only recommend get stronger psychologically, how I can tell you later.
