Knowledge about food, calories and how fat is stored in the body surly helps you obtain any goal you have with bodyfat precentage.

The second is of course disiplin. When you consume fast sugars (white bread, candy, soda etc), your body rewards you greatly in the form of neurotransmitters witch makes you feel good. You get a temporary high, your glykose levels rise and you no longer feel hungry, but it falls down fast and you feel hungry again. So when you have made it a habbit to eat "crap food" - you simply must resist the urge to eat those foods.

You say "i cant stop". Yes, you can stop. Don't make up a belief you can't stop eating too much.

The internet is a great place for information, but in the end - it always ends up with what you choose to do. And you ALWAYS do what you choose to do.

Step 1: Re-connect it with something negative.

What happens is that your mind connects the food with a positive emotion. The short rush that Ulv explained above. So what youre basically after is the emotion the contents of the food gives you and not the food itself. You cant stop because you are addicted to these emotions.

Theres many ways of re-connecting food. One thing would be to find a video that really gross you out. Maggots or something like that. Watch it as you eat. If youre able to do that 2-3 times thats enough. I promise you, you wont desire that particular food/meal anymore :)

VERY IMPORTANT THOUGH: Food itself is great is for you. You should enjoy food in a natural way and NEVER get to the point where stop eating. So make sure to make step 1 the short term fix and step 2 the long term fix.

It is purely based on the suspicion that you eat unhealthy food. If youre eating vegetables all day, keep going :)

*****

Step 2: Get to the ROOTS of the real problem.

The eating is the symptom of the real issue/problem, but not the problem itself. Why would you crave for these short lasting emotions? What do you feel that is lacking in your life? Who or what is hurting you?

Do you eat enough fiber? Protein? Whole grains are also supposed to keep you satisfied for longer. Do you drink enough water? Do you eat every 2-3 hours (snacks) Tiredness and stress/anxiety might also have something to do with it.

Check if you're doing everything correctly aka eating the right foods, sleeping well, drinking water...if you still feel like overeating all the time I'd suggest that you'd go see a nutrionist.

Do you feel full after a meal? Or not really?

How is your taste and smell?

Despite the suggsetions above, eating disorders can be linked to inflammation in the gut and mineral deficienices, especially zinc. You can do a bit more research on these with search engines.

I have read the most common issue in eating disorders is imbalanced zinc levels. Do you tick any boxes for zinc toxcity or zinc deficiency? Its something to rule out:

There can be a lot of reasons for overeating. Here are the most common causes to analyze:

1). Eating to cope with anxiety, depression, or other negative emotions.

2.) Uncontrollable appetite due to roller coaster blood sugar levels. Basically, this means that you have consumed too many sugars and highly processed carbohydrates and that your blood sugar levels rise and fall rapidly and make it very difficult to control your appetite.

3.) Thyroid problems. I'm not a physician so, I'm hesitant to give advise about this but it's definitely something to look into.

4.) Nutritional deficiencies. This was addressed in a previous post. Make sure you are getting all of your vitamins and minerals.

Think about why you eat so much. What do you crave? Think about how you process information and the mindset you're in when you are 'pigging out'. You are the best advisor so don't be afraid to think about your actions progressively!

Try reading 'Overcoming Overeating' by Jane Hirschmann & Carol Munter. It really helped me.

All the best

Eating too much is the cause of over weight and anxiety. You should always eat the food according to the diet plan. Side by side you should also do the exercise daily.
