Anxiety and constantly worrying about what people think

Postby anxiouslad » Wed Sep 06, 2017 3:22 pm

I have anxiety and have had this for around 2 years now. I frequently look things up online about anxiety and read people's stories. I was getting a lot of intrusive thoughts so had a read about people's stories and what they are suffering from. There was stories about people getting sexual intrusive thoughts and thoughts about harming their families etc. Since I read these stories I have been extremely paranoid that I left my phone sitting in work and someone had went through my search history and now they think I was searching all this stuff because I am getting all these sexual thoughts etc and think I am this disgusting person. I always think people are talking about me and this has went on now for about 6 months every day. I have took time off work and often think about suicide as I can't see myself with a future if people think I am some sort of disgusting person who would think about this kind of stuff. I don't know how to change this way of thinking. I tell myself every day that no one would go through my search history and it was clearly a forum I was reading so wasn't actually me talking about myself. However, I can't stop this way of thinking and it's causing me a great deal of distress.

Well if you're doing it, they must be doing the same thing, but you are good enough to share your anxieties and thoughts, just take it all with a pinch of salt and just try to be happy, society today have got everything but yes in some ways nothing, I can remember when I was young, I tried to catch as many lizards as I could and led them all free at the end of the day, I used to drive my mother mad going around with my shoebox of lizards. Why worry about what people think. I am sure after a while you probably think of something else that come your way.

One more tidbit on this issue have you ever traveled realizing how large this world is and how insignificant any one of those human beings at work really are if it's a volatile environment and you feel it then look for another job but honestly none of those people at that job matter in the scheme of things it's sad to say but in 70 years and none of us will be remembered not a one of us if you're over the age of 30 life is short do not be concerned about these things I know I can't heed my own advice but it's taken me many years to realize I mean think of all the celebrities you think anybody will cure and 70 years who Kim Kardashian is Brad Pitt name me one thirties actor besides Charlie Chaplin don't sweat the small stuff I know this is kind of a chaotic thread but just getting on my soapbox

Th effects of anxiety vary with age and experience. What you may experience, may be different than what a teenager may. It's good that you keep reading up on your situations because there are many, many people out there who have it and are coming out discussion their situation. Anxiety varies with age and you should read up what your age group is experiencing.
I'm 30 and whenever I feel low, I look in the mirror and see how I look. It took me some time to pick myself up and start working out. Yes, Exercising 3 days a week is important and has a direct relation to improved mental health. It reduces so much stress.

When you feel inferior and depended from others sure you will worry what others think about you but if you are confident, independed from others you dont care what others think

Hi there, I agree that anxiety varies with age and experience. To reduce your stress, you can do regular exercise and meditation. If you want to be successful, you don't have to worry that what people will think about? You can also take the help of professional martine-voyance who help to overcome stress.
