And if you're depressed you may be sleeping something like 12 hours a night :D .

I'd just like to say a few things here in no particular order.

One, the schools I've been to (primary and secondary, that is) didn't seem to give a sh** about me or other students, what I mean is, teachers wouldn't have even taken notice if you didn't socialise, they wouldn't have even tried to work out whether you just like to be alone or something is wrong. Lordy, a sort of friend of mine was constantly getting beaten up by this other kid and getting hassled all the time (despite this friend being much stronger than this other kid), he kept telling a teacher, and the teacher (who was in charge of the whole year group, btw) told him that if he got into any more trouble he'd be expelled... ... ...and when he told other teachers, they told him to go to the teacher that basically told him to 'naff off'. The mind boggles, the mind boggles... you can tell I'm bitter because of my own more personal experiences :? ...the school was stuffed choc-a-block with racists and the teachers in the school did nowt about this because they were scared...

Also, back to psychology, I'd just like to add, when I were having a hard time at school and wanted to die all the time, despite it being 'only for half the day, it meant for the rest of the day I were constantly dreading the next day and so I had absolutely no chance to get my 'basic human needs' fulfilled due to that time being taken up with distress and suicidal tendencies.

Though this reminds me, I must finally get round to reading the depression learning path and stuff :? .

They took breaks, where the kids could play games, talk with eachother, and crap like that, after every single subject...

And, those kids ALLWAYS tried to talk with me, and crap...

But I DIDN'T want them to, I just wanted to be alone...

But, they did so anyway, and the teacher, and the school, refused to stop them.

And allso, during those breaks, I had NOTHING to do, I just wanted to do more work.

And allso, like every friday, they watched a movie, and, I ABSOLUTELY hated that... I just wanted to do work.

The only thing good about that class, was that I didn't have to go to P.E or Art...

I absolutely despised that class...

Forcing me to socialize with other students! :x That was its goal, in my case.

Well, it's the weekend, egor, so you could decide that this weekend you are going to become the expert on the Learning Path!

Have fun!

I'm signing out now, I'll check in tomorrow to see what you and Antigreen come up with!

But, it was clear...

The schools intention was to force me to socialize with those students.
And at the same time trying to make me go insane.

I can understand that being FORCED to socialise doesn't do much for its appeal!

Do you ever DECIDE to socialise, Antigreen? Is it ever some sort of fun?

I also had bad experiences at school. I suffered from depression and social phobia from the age of about 13. I was labelled as being withdrawn. I had real difficulties talking to anyone, especially in class. The teachers decided if I didn't answer when asked a question that shouting at me might get better results. Of course it just made it worse. I didn't get much support from home either. My parents thought I was attention seeking. I finally vouldn't cope anymore and tried to kill myself. The school responded by suspending me and thought a social worker would help. My parents said I'd be taken into care. No one from social services ever came though. The school did eventually insist I saw a psychiatrist but my parents made me feel so bad it because the whole family had to go and I couldn't talk to her. My mum told her I'd just done the whole thing for attention and there was nothing wrong with me and the psychiatrist discharged me. Maybe things would've been a lot different now if I'd got the help I needed then.

I don't have social phobia, I just don't want to talk to anyone is all.
And besides, I'm surrounded by simpletons.

Sorry Antigreen, didn't mean to imply that you had social phobia. Was just adding my thoughts on the depression in children thing.

I didn't think you were...
I was just saying, I merely don't want to talk to anyone, I wouldn't have difficulty(out of fear) of doing so, though.

What's the main difference in talking to us here on the forum, and talking to other people in the flesh (i.e. socialising), Antigreen?

You people aren't complete retards, like the people at my school.

And allso, I feel like I can be open with all of you, since I will probably never meet any of you in real life.

You know, I'm pretty much anonymous, so I don't mind talking about things I would usually never mention.
