Relationship breakups are so hard, especially when we aren’t feeling secure with our own selves.
Even when a relationship was not good for us, it’s still hard to accept, but it is even harder to accept when our sense of self worth is shaky to start with. It adds to our feelings of low self esteem. We tend to think there is something wrong with us, never the other person.
When we become intimate with another person, our energy entwines. This is why it can be so hard to break away. We feel as though we’ve lost a part of ourself and, in fact, you have, even if the person was not good for us, we still feel a loss.
Depression has been described as anger turned inward. If you don’t love yourself you cannot love someone else. We tend to draw to us those people who are not good for us when we are not liking who we are. We don’t think we deserve better, but this stinkin thinkin is distorted and wrong.
YOU are a valuable person in this world. Everyone has been created in the likeness of his/her higher power, and everyone has a purpose. Seek the help you need to feel stronger. You are worth it and you are important today and everyday.
