Snowballing

Postby bawdyheated » Sun Jan 24, 2021 5:41 am

I have depression for the longest time now but I used to be good at dealing with it. With what is happening, I find myself almost snowballing out of control. Any tips you guys can share? How can I handle this situation better?

How do you build a snowball? You start with a very small bit of snow. It gets bigger, providing more surface to attach more snow, faster and faster the ball gets bigger, hence the term "snowballing".

The tip is to build another snowball, starting very small with something positive that you can control, that you can focus on. For example, you can focus on getting up and out of bed early each morning to go for a 5-minute walk. It is a small bit of snow. It is a very small, positive thing that grows into a very productive day.
