I am a volunteer at my little sister 's school and afterwards I then pick up my 6yr old little sister a couple of her friends that come to ours after school due to their parents being at work until 6pm.
The parents of the kids at the nursery I volunteer at are not to bad, most will provide the suitable clothing knowing that we sometimes let the kids outside.
The parents of my little sister's friends however are not so good, today being an example, they came out of school with just a lightweight jacket on which had rain dripping off plus they had no hat or gloves so they were soaked by the time they got to ours, even when I fully zipped up their jackets they said they were still cold so I felt really sad and sorry for them to be feeling frozen.
One thing I always do with Bethany (my 6yr old little sister) before she goes out the door is make sure that her jacket is a) suitable for the weather that day so today she had a waterproof on and b) it is fully zipped up and the hood is up and she has gloves and, if necessary, a scarf on her before we even step foot outside.
