alone

My mother left. I'm so alone with my anxiety and worries. But there is still some hope that good days will come. Please someone post something.

If someone else had posted that, what would you tell him?

But everything won't be okay if you sit in your room saying: "It isn't okay right now." You still believe good can come, but you don't seem to realise you have to go out and find it.

Actually everything is okay right now. Right now, there's actually nothing wrong.

Your mother's visit showed that you feel better when you have someone you can talk to, someone you trust.

You could find such a person, but he or she isn't likely to knock on your door. You need to get out and meet people.

I miss my mother I indeed need someone to talk to. Being alone in the house is terrible. There may be nothing wrong but my mind creates worries from time to time sometimes that intensifies that's a problem I think. Anyways I felt better after hearing from you thanks..

Pessimism and negativity takes over from time to time.

Only if you think it is.

It's like the worries leave you for a while when you're occupied with something or have someone with you, but they're always waiting to rush in as soon as you're alone and have time to think.

Actually very few people are happy completely alone for long periods. It isn't natural. We're a gregarious species and we know there's safety in numbers. But I do understand it's hard to go out and talk to strangers, especially when you're feeling low.

My loneliest times, I've had to rely on inner resources. I love to read, and at a very young age I discovered I love to write, as well. When you're creating people on paper, and having adventures with them, loneliness is banished. Well, that's how it works for me.

It would be a good idea to start a hobby, doing something you enjoy and can do on your own. I know you listen to music and enjoy movies, but is there anything creative you fancy trying?

I like high tech and Internet. I wanted to be a writer once a time but I don't want that now. For a time I was interested at graphic design it's still appealing but if I'm capable is unknown. I will have a walk today and spend all day out.

It's only unknown because you didn't have a go. Why not try it now? Or better still, look for an evening class in graphic design? They would soon let you know whether you have a gift for it.

But I'm getting ahead of myself, because since I've known you you've been moved with your job several times. I don't suppose your current location is permanent, either. That's very tough on someone who can't make friends and fit in easily.

I'm here for 2.5 years more but some say things may change. I would like to be in istanbul. An evening class is a good idea may do that. The problem is low motivation.

Just have a look and see what's available.

When I have low confidence about something I know would be good for me, I start investigating and talking to people about it. Ideas add to ideas and before you know it you've crossed the line and committed yourself.

Other people with the same interest are the best source of new friends.

... and 2½ years is plenty of time to get a qualification that might take your career in a different direction. In the meantime you've met other people to hang out with, and you have a subject to talk about.
