She is very strange!!!

Hi, please help to understand her.. I have gotta student. She can look at any pictures and start telling about her personal, what she did in the past, her parents etc. She becomes extremely open, I am not asking her anything of her personal life.. She herself tells everything, So if i wanted her to talk about her private life, I would just show her some pictures :) That's strange!!! As for the pictures, they are very ordinary pictures: for example, a living room, a sleeping person, some animal and the like.. The other day she blamed me by telling that why i show her pictures, that by telling these pictures she starts telling about herself. and she becomes very upset...

P.S. I am an English language teacher.. I use pictures for my students to be able to talk and tell whatever they in the pictures... By this way they try to improve their oral communication...

PLease, give me some hints on this...

Hi armion,

Is it a problem that she wants to talk of her personal life?

What I would suggest is that you frame the exercise beforehand - tell her the sorts of things she can talk about and the sorts of things that are not ok, that is her personal life. Then if she strays into talking about her personal life remind that that is outside the framework.

Best wishes.

Isn't it a problem that whenever she looks at the pictures, they remind her of her life that she had and now she is longing for.. ? But these pictures have nothing to do with her life... I said she looks at the picture where an animal is depicted and this too reminds her of her peronal life.. I know how to make her not to tell of her life when she starts doing it..And i do it, but at times it is very hard to control, I am always tense... It is not the only problem she has.. She can't listen to the audio recording fort more than 10 minutes and look at the screen for a long time... She feels tired... She loses herself.. I like to act as an observer and watch other people, but isn't it time I refused to have lessons with her?
