Thanks..im getting abit used to it now.i have hovered on this forum for a while now..i started smoking from the age of 15 and would just before my 41st birthday.i smoked 5 -7 joints a day.i quit due to an incident at work on june 17th last year...i never knew the problems would start when i quit...i think the weed kept me on an even keel...the depression and anxiety i suffer daily is absolutely horrendous...how im still in a job and still with my partner is beyond me...i reckon ive had about 20 good days in the past months.i try to eat healthy ..go swimming and lift some weights when i can get out the house...i take 4000 mg of tyrosine per day..still.have a beer to calm me.the rscovery periox is so slow...when i look on these forums i very rarely see any long term smokers...

Hang in there ..im just coming up on 9 mo. I just started prozac 2 days ago due to crazy moods and depression. Now that im completely clean and sober i was starting to see a pattern with my moods and fatigue. I also have a food intolerance that i think weed masked the majority of my symptoms. I was a long time smoker 18yrs daily. Only quit a few times and not for that long..i gave up everything but weed 5 yrs ago after i went to detox for other substances. I feel most people self medicate and there is underlying mental illness..It could be temporary sometimes it take s the brain awhile to recover.. There are some long term smokers on here you just have to catch old posts when they first got on

Hey swim you may want to look into taking some medicine for depression or anxiety maybe you had it the whole time.. I think weed helped me with depression but im an addict at heart so i overuse everything. Also i spend all my money on it..one joint is too many and a thousand is not enough..same with alcohol, pills, crack.. So i just want to be clean of all and get medicine that i wont be addicted too.. So far so good..just some food for thought..hope it helps

Hello Guys, I was smoking weed since 5 yeats heavily, two years back i had a panic attack, i decided to quit smoking weed, after withdrawal i was always feeling dizzyness, i didnot consult a doctor, after one and half year i went to a doctor regarding dizzyness, doctor checked my blood pressure and told im suffering from hypertension, im two years and one month clean, but now im a hypertension patient at the age of 30, i just want to know that can i cure this high blood pressure which is caused by weed withdrawal. i know its due to withdrawal. When we smoke weed regularly our b.p get lower. and when we quit we will survive from high blood pressure. If there is any way to cure it please tell me. I hate to be a high b.p patient.

Hello guys,

I have read almost all your posts. NateTgreat, I am going through some of the same sypmtoms as you.

[*]"I smoked since i was 18, everyday 4-6 times a day and never have had a problem up until now i quit a few weeks ago and it has been very hard for me to live with the symptoms. I have been in alot of physiological, and psychological pain. I have tremors and muscle twitching, blurred vision in right eye, dry eyes, pressure behind right eye, sometimes one pupil is larger than the other. For a short time a bit of acid re flux which has now subsided. Anxiety is the though the roof on and off with occasional depression and inability to focus. dizziness/balance problems and the thoughts that i have every neurological disease in the book, which ill be seeing a neurologist tomorrow just in case. Im now a Hypochondriac who googles every symptom which only brings up my anx more. Hang in there, its a rough ride but can be done if you know what is happening to you."

I smoked marijuana for over 10 years everyday (over 3x a day) since I was about 16 years old. I have recently quit smoking in the last week. The symptoms I am having are severe dizziness, fatigue, anxiety, and even depression.

I got my blood work done last week, everything is fine my blood sugar was a little high but the doc wasn't too worried about this.

After a week of not smoking, the main symptom I am having is DIZZINESS and ANXIETY. I am so glad I found this forum because everyone thinks I am crazy for mentioning I am going through Marijuana Withdrawals.

The Dr. prescribed me a very low dosage of xanax to deal with the dizziness and anxiety, however I don't want to rely on these medications the rest of my life.

I really hope the dizziness and anxiety will reduce the more I exercise and free my mind of worry.

Again, I thank you all as this forum has helped me tremendously.

In my post today I’ve talked about how I had night sweats for (at least) the first 2 weeks of being off weed. Plus the vivid and sometimes nasty dreams.

Stick in there, keep going, it will get better and you’re not alone!

Maybe google “PAWS” as reading about PAWS (Post acute withdrawal syndrome) helped me with understanding what my body/brain are going through :)

Thanks for the response EdenG, I really appreciate it. It helps knowing someone can relate.

I’m now almost on 2 weeks clean. Dizziness has slightly gone down, Anxiety and trouble sleeping are still prevelant. Ive also lost some weight.

However, I will get better and I will appreciate life and get back to things I love to do. I know I will.

Stay strong people :D

Pothead1990 you neeeeeed to get rid of your stash and everything you use to smoke. It doesn’t help at all and will do you no good having it so easily accessible if you really want to quit.

Good luck and keep trying!! The first 72 hours I found were always the hardest.
