Actually BigBrotherGrimm hasn't posted on this thread since December 18, a month before you joined the forum. His more recent posts show he's moved on in leaps and bounds since then.

Anger, sorrow, bitterness,..... are like weeds that spread and take control of our mind if we did not consciously throw away these weeds like a gardener who wants a beautiful garden does. In the same way that a garden can grow weeds, it can also grow beautiful flowers. If the gardener wants beautiful flowers, in his garden, he must plant it and take care of his garden, otherwise weeds will take control of the garden and destroy all his effort. What I want to say is that love, joy, happiness and good life are result of good attitude and conscious decision to always be in a state of love, hope, courage, patience, gratitude... So, you have to run your state of mind and direct your thoughts in the direction that you want.

Wow! What a great metaphor for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. A beautiful metaphor.... well, so good that it is almost a direct analogy. We must tend our Minds as though we were tending a garden. Wow! I am so glad I read this. It’s a wonderful insight... and I probably certain that this little metaphor will start popping up in my own posts...

Oh! Looking at it again, I realize how beautifully written it is. One doesn’t often find beautiful writing on line these days. So many people can’t get much beyond texting and tweeting, and then again even Modern Literature often lacks the beauty and the grandeur that it seems we can only reliably find in the Great Classics of Literature, and how many people today even bother to read those ‘old dusty books’ about men, women, horses and carriages. But, yes, you recommend reading uplifting literature – to read every day. Well, there it is right there. Regular reading does improve one’s writing style. I remember when I was a child. I could hardly write at all until one summer I discovered English Fine Literature, and went through Dickens, Fielding, and Hardy, a lot of Shakespeare and most of Milton’s “Paradise Lost”. That autumn in school I discovered to my surprise that not only could I write, but I actually had a kind of style. Oh, the Bible is a splendid Masterpiece, that is, the King James Version, mostly based on the William Tyndale Bible. It is veritable poetry.
