I really enjoyed the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. I agree with you the 70s were best for music. I can't listen to what's on the radio now; it seems so bland and samey.

Thinking about 70s causes sorrow and melancholy at me. Thinking about people who were young then. Why?

Maybe those were your best years. Maybe you think it's all over for you, and nothing good will ever happen again.

Desperate, I'm old enough to be your mother. I've been through those horrified feelings, more than once. I have a voluntary job but I'd like to be earning my own money, and no one will hire me.

I still have hope. I continue to write, and to submit my stories to publishers. I love it when my work is published. Life is still interesting for me.

I wish you could shake off whatever cloud is hanging over you, and I'm glad you've made an appointment at the private hospital. You can't do it by yourself and no one on the forum can help you. Take whatever hope is offered. All psychiatrists have different ways of working. I really hope this one can help you.

There's no going back to a former you (or me!) who had so much fun. But there's acceptance of what is, and continuing to pursue our goals. Giving up is not an option!

Candid i like your positivity so much. Its indeed a relief to my suffering mood. I dont hope much from the doctor he will prescribe an antidepressant im sure and i wont take it. A calm comfortable hospital would be like heaven but there isnt much chance i must quit drugs to be insane maybe i go crazy while taking drugs thats possible because im so fed up with my job there are signs for that i cant see a way out of my suffering dont know what to do im an idiot who cant write a few sentences thats all

Sometimes when we're afraid of the changes our present world presents us, we look back at the 'good times' to find comfort. Though to be honest if the 60's and 70's were anything like how I saw it in Austin Powers (im very young) I would want to go back too :P.

What was the best part of those times, for you guys?
