Mojo by Marshall Goldsmith - Two Aspects Of Self Esteem

Postby Super Collider » Thu Nov 10, 2016 8:13 pm

I've read a book named "Mojo" by Marshall Goldsmith.

It relates self esteem problems with two source.

1) How you think about yourself

2) How you think about other people think about you

I think the book is right. Both source have direct effect on your self esteem. However the problem is here the second source is not up to you. It is out of your hands. Mostly.

You can't change the judgements of other people. Besides you can't change some attributes of you.
Your psychical, economic, socioeconomic state may contradict the common sense. (or the common sense of your local folk)

Think about unemployee, poor, ugly, disabled person. What does he expect people think about him?

What do you think about this definition of self-esteem? How to develop better self-esteem according to second source?
