I'm fairly new to hypnosis. So far I have studied many of the hypnotic language patterns- presuppositions, embedded commands etc.
I am aware of the logical fallacies typically picked up on in debating societies. These are those pieces of rhetoric that sound very persuasive until the critical mind is engaged. Examples are ad populum, straw man, slippery slope. gambler's fallacy. Just wondering if these type of constructions could be used in hypnosis while the critcal mind is in abeyance. Btw, you can google logical fallacies and find hundreds listed.
Any thoughts?
