hypnotic selling skills

Hi

Can someone explain to me how sales people covertly persuade us to buy their products, using hypnotic skills? I see that they directly look into your eyes. They also do some things with their hands. And what? I want to learn the exact steps of the process.

So you want to learn some sales techniques?

And you've seen that they stare into your eyes?

Do you know what the opposite of NO is? - because you've just said it 3 times!!

Get the prospective customer to agree with you lots and they won't be able to resist the last 'yes' when you ask if they want your product!!

And I told you one way 'how'.

Is language not a 'hypnotic skill'? Or do you think it's better to wear funny glasses with swirly images in them :shock: to persuade someone to buy something!?

Hi Shine :D

A great book is 'Influence The techniques of persuesion' by Cialdini. All language is essentially hypnotic in type as it gets us to focus. The waywe focus determines whether we buy or not.

To add..

You need peoples' attention - that's why you might look into their eyes and why you might wave yuor hands around.

Basically you need to get them to listen or read carefully

And as Andy so elegantly illustrated, there's nothing so hypnotic (attention-grabbing) as a well-worded question...
