What variables you think affect the most the industry

I would like to know if you have identified one or more variables that negatively affect the counseling, emotional help, industry?

If so, what are these variables?

What are some real effects of these variables?

EXAMPLES OF FORMAT ANSWER:

summer season affects counselors because people feel optimistic and hopeful during summer, and thus do not book so many appointments. Also, during summer people vacation and they book less appointments.

Our practice is strongly affected by government spending. When the government covers our services n the some of their programs, we get a larger number of patients. We recognized this since the payment is received from government funds.
