Witnessed a murder

Postby Antigreen » Wed Jul 14, 2004 11:29 pm

A couple of years or so ago, I witnessed a murder...
I remember every single detail of it, but I feel unaffected...
Why do I remember it perfectly, if I am unaffected?

Maybe because of the very reason you are emotionless there aren't things like stress, anxiety, etc. to fog the mind and memory?

Just a thought.

Do you feel affected by news of murders or deaths when you watch the news? Its not great to hear, but maybe your desensitesed to this sort of thing, and im going to guess you didnt know the person. the main diff from wathing in on tv and in real life is the delivery method.

What do you mean by "delivery method"?
And by the way, I don't watch the news, but I would assume no.

I mean one is through outside real time reality, and other delivery method is through a television even computer/internet but your still seeing the same thing,

All im saying is in today society death is more accepted by the eyes bec technology compared to 30-50 years ago.

Such things do happen.. In order to survive in this world we have to be cold, show cold attitude towards everything... :) but we are individuals, and we cannot follow others' views, like society... etc... Our mind remembers everything, every minor details, even though we know that we must take everything as it is... Anything that is out of ordinary or stands out very strongly, IS remembered.. you cannot erase this from memory... because it is not like other ordinary things that occur in life... Good luck!
