slik1, do not worry about agreeing with a foolishboy!

I think it's impossible to feel total bliss all the time. This is a real world, with real frustrations, upsets, sadness, anger etc. Everybody, possibly no matter how enlightened, will feel some of these more negative emotions at some time?

I feel being at peace, is just discovering who you are and what you are about and becoming more accepting e.g. Finding hobbies that really interest you, a job that lights your fire (regardless of what it is), having like minded friends and a loving family, and many other things! Completing the jigsaw puzzle of yourself, and in so doing, losing those negative emotions.

It's nothing to do with intelligence either. The poorest mind and poorest person can easily have more peace and happiness in their lives than those who appear to have 'plenty'.

Addictions may be a way of hiding from having to deal with those things we need to do, to help ourselves.
