Is there an opposite to S.A.D (The disorder)

Postby Natasha » Tue Jul 20, 2004 2:46 pm

Is there an opposite to S.A.D, i know that this is a disorder that effects people in the summer. But I have the opposite I always seem to get depressed and anxious this time of year, I hate the light nights and the heat and all that is associated with it. I dread it every year and cant wait till winter and darker nights.. I just wondered if there was an opposite :? :?

Thanks

What is it that bothers you about summertime, Natasha?

I too love the others seasons the most. Summer being too warm most of the time. Winter, spring and autumn are purely romantic (snow, falling leafs in the wind, soft rain sparkling over newborn leafs). So I think for me it is somthing different (I don't get depressed in summer eg), but you are not alone in liking the other seasons more. :)

Lovely wolfke - living on the west coast of Scotland, that one is going to be useful to me! Just goes to show though - there are many ways of looking at anything - the majority enjoy summer more than winter, but there are those who don't. I remember someone saying once "There is no such thing as good weather or bad weather, only weather" - I repeat this to myself while walking in the rain.
