Hi Mathew,

I am on Aropax and I was so low that it took me 3 weeks to get the full effect  . But I have halved the dose and I am still fine :D

In many cases, it can take up to 4 to 6 weeks before there are noticeable effects of SSRIs and even then people close to you may notice a difference before you do - the initial effects can be subtle and gradually cumulative.

On the other hand, I have seen significant benefits in some patients during the first week. Individual reactions to these medications can be difficult to predict...

I had a client once who was prescribed SSRIs, she noticed the change within the aforementioned 3-4 weeks, but a side effect she was affected the most by was extended time dreaming, causing her to wake up very tired in the morning, not having had any rejuvinative sleep.
