Gay science is all fake!

Hey. I think gay science is fake. Because:

It never was a medical decision and that's why I think the action
came so fast. After all, it was only three years from the time that
feminists and gays first zapped the APA at a behavior therapy session
to the time that the Board of Trustees voted in 1973 to approve
removing homosexuality from the list of mental disorders. It was a
political move.

How do you think any behavior becomes labeled a "disorder"?

Every few years a bunch of "scientists" hold a series of meetings and argue for updates, revisions, deletions, and inclusion of various behaviors into the latest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

It is a political process.

Does the process involve using research to justify the political arguments? Absolutely. But this research is conducted by humans and humans are flawed.

There have always been gays among us. I believe it's around 4%. Very often they're highly creative people. A "mental disorder" that practices in private, has no victim, is not concurrent with delusions and is no predictor of career or relationship sucess can't qualify as a problem.
