NO.

This world is too cruel and horrible. It is what it is.

It is a train wreck.

This is a mess. Maybe the digital domain is too slow to sort it out, but all FEELING, BEING, EXISTING is too short of patience.

The digital domain is a joke. It is SMALL, FEABLE. SMALL.

Dream all the dreams you wish to dream, but they are FULLISH WISHFUL THINKING.

You are not tomorrow. You are not even a shadow of today.

Yeah, you are that far removed.

I POSE to understanding of the OP,but... well was annoyed.

Clever/conniving/human cunning, sure they are profitable. Wasn't slavery profitable? Just because it turns a profit doesn't mean it doesn't HURT.

Just because the HURT isn't perceived, doesn't mean it didn't have IMPACT, and HARM.

Ignorance is NOT bless, when it harms you INSIDE in ways you can't perceive, IT is DEATH and RUIN.

Why are you annoyed? Who has hurt you? Why do you equate emotional intelligence negatively with "conniving/cunning"? That is your own negative spin on it.

Human slavery is not profitable, no. Not for the slaves and not for the slave masters. But what that has to do with the OP>... NOTHING.

I suggest you keep getting drunk and expose this nonsense that you are talking (and believing?).

The OP hit me as seeking CUNNING, CONNIVING, MANIPULATIVE CONTROL over others.

There was only text, and I just had a visceral reaction to the post.

...probably says much more about me, and what I LOATH, than what was actually said.

I'll shoot for better.

P.S. If you think the misuse of emotional intelligence has nothing to do with slavery in the past, in the NOW, and the future, you don't lack it.

Of course. What you're learning is how to have empathy with another person.

The more you know how to feel like another person feels, the more you know how to be persuasive with that particular person.

When you love/care for others and long for them to struggle and grow, make better choices for themselves...

You don't think this way.

You perceive the damage to yourself and others in striving to coerce others to act under your CONTROL, and KNOW you harm yourself as much and MORE than you harm them.

Our heart don't slow and fade from growing old.

All that is loving and lovable in us, recedes in horror, at who we choose to be, to earn a meaningless currency.

OLD is not desiccated.

OLD is not unfeeling.

OLD, but still alive, IS ALIVE!

Bogdanm yes emotional intelligence can make you more understanding of people giving you the ability to have true conversations where you bond with them. Understanding people's emotions is the best way to form good relationships, so yes develop emotional intelligence and you will be good at persuasion.

I believe it may also help you better understand yourself, which in turn helps you realize how those around you effect your emotions.

Many of us are completely out of touch with our own emotions and as a consequence, we cannot understand others emotions.
