I'd like to see a "new posts" button that takes me to everything posted since I last logged in, regardless of which forum it's in. Saves me trawling.

You might also like to consider a "report as spam" button for things such as eltoro198567 posts.

Hi Candid

We don't have a button, as such, but after you've logged in, if you look up at the top left of the page, under the Uncommon Knowledge logo, you'll see some menu items, one of which is 'View posts since last visit' - which does the same thing.

Ah yes, there it is!
Thanks, Kathleen.

Editing to add: On other forums, "view new posts" stays put throughout a session. When I answered this one from you and went back to the home page, I didn't have that option any more. So because I've looked at one of the new posts I have to log out and log back in again to see all the others? :(

I know I'm new here, but I've hosted and moderated at a good number of forums in my day. Though you may be opposed to the idea as the skin is already well-integrated into the site's design, consider upgrading to phpBB3. It's still free, it's got loads of great new features, not to mention some essential security fixes, and it's a very simple install. I've been using phpBB3 since the first beta, and it has remained solid throughout. (You'll love the new ACP too! ;))

Hi Candid.

The 'View posts since last visit' menu item should remain active throughout your session. I should point out that it is only visible from the Front Page, not from any of the individual forum pages.

Hi
Im kind of a newbie, used to frequent this place a lot but have been busy having a babyand so on.
I dont even think the ickle group I played with are about anymore. Batesy and others..
Would it be a good idea to have a thread, place where woman who have had bad experiences in childbirth can come and read about other experiences and what others have done to overcome the implications. Also practical information regarding overcomming a bad experience and where to get some help..
I would like to train as a therapist in this field. Do quite a lot of free work as there is so little help our there. From the woman I meet possible thousands of woman each year are left truamatised, depressed and so on by there time in hospitals. (Dont take it as Im against the NHS they do the best they can do)
Often therapy waiting lists at Doctors are a year long and most families dont have the money to pay £45. upwards an hour to go private.
Is this already available ?, but Iv not been over the whole site yet :D
